There is growing interest in the impact on near infrared (NIR) light on health. The area of “photobiomodulation” offers new and exciting research opportunities. There is little research on real-world ambient NIR exposure and human health. It is a wide open area of exploration. NIR works primarily by being absorbed by cytochrome c oxidase (a key enzyme in the mitochondrial electron transport chain), which boosts ATP production, reduces oxidative stress, and triggers beneficial signaling pathways inside cells. Great discoveries to come!
MiEye Sync Participant-facing app
Though the MiEye has a long battery life, sometimes participants do not follow charging instructions. Without power, the internal clock will desynchronise and logging will stop. We have made a free multi-platform app called MiEye Sync that will allow participants to easily resynchronise the clock and have logging start automatically. A practical problem solved.
New accessories!
Our current magnetic lanyrds are sleek and allow for connection through clothing. But for situations where you need a more secure connection, we have made 2 new ultra-secure conneciton options: a new lanyard and a clip. Both are magnetic, rotatable, with discrete, physical sides and bottom.
